Neurodiversity-affirming supervision

Supervision where neurodivergence isn't viewed as a deficit to be corrected

Reflect Together is home to a growing community of neurodivergent practitioners — with dedicated neuro-affirming peer circles and supervisor-led groups. Here, how your brain works and how your clients' brains work are already understood, so the conversation starts with the clinical work, not the justification.

Why neuro-affirming supervision matters

No translating neurodivergence

You shouldn't have to explain unmasking, sensory overload or executive dysfunction before you can reflect on the actual clinical work.

Your clients aren't pathologised

When your clients are autistic, ADHD or AuDHD, a neuro-affirming group reads the material with the nuance it deserves — not through a deficit lens.

Space for how your own brain works

Being a neurodivergent practitioner brings its own material into the room — late diagnosis, burnout, the way you process. A community that gets it gives you somewhere to bring that, too.

Less isolated practice

Neuro-affirming practitioners are often thinly spread. A standing circle gives you colleagues who come to know your work over time.

Common questions

What is neurodiversity-affirming supervision?

It's reflective practice with peers or supervisors who understand neurodivergence — ADHD, autism, AuDHD, dyslexia and more — through a neuro-affirming lens, not a deficit one. You never have to justify unmasking, sensory needs or executive dysfunction before you can talk about your client work.

Is Reflect Together only for neurodivergent therapists?

No. Reflect Together is open to all counsellors and psychotherapists. Within it, neurodivergent practitioners — and those working with neurodivergent clients — can find peers and supervisors who share a neuro-affirming frame, in dedicated circles and groups.

Do neuro-affirming peer circles cost anything?

No. Peer circles are always free — browsing, joining and starting one. Supervisor-led groups are listed by supervisors, who set their own fees.

I'm a supervisor who works neuro-affirmingly. Can I list my spaces?

Yes. Supervisors are warmly invited to list 1:1 or group supervision spaces and connect directly with practitioners seeking neuro-affirming supervision. Your first four supervisees are free, with no commission.
